• Wilkinson Development Fund I, LLC

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies at Good Neighbor Care of Sterling, August, 2008
Introduced in early 2007, Wilkinson Development Fund I, LLC quickly became a popular investment vehicle with many of Wilkinson's legacy investors, along with a good number of new fund participants.
The plan was to acquire raw land and construct three new, upscale independent and assisted living senior communities in the state of Illinois centered around Peoria. Much of the groundwork was complete prior to the introduction of opportunities in the fund and Good Neighbor Care was already operating more than a dozen senior communities in the state, including the two Grand Victorian's, (Rockford & Sycamore) which would serve as the architectural basis for Fund I's new communities.
Before long the fund had built up the equity needed to begin it's proposed three-property portfolio in Illinois. The first community to open its doors was Good Neighbor Care of Sterling, (July, 2008) followed by The Grand Victorian of Pekin (March, 2009) with The Grand Victorian of Washington scheduled for a Summer, 2009 opening.
